My research focuses on investigating the electrical properties of tungsten(VI) oxide thin films. The special behaviour of the thin film (usually 10nm~100nm) made of tungsten(VI) oxide creates potential applications in electronic devices such as non-volatile memory. Several fabrications methods including ALD, PLD and sputtering are explored to introduce in-plane strain in the films. Structural characterisations of the films by XRD, Raman, TEM etc. and electrical characterisations are performed for the interest of the mechanism behind the outstanding electrical properties.
